TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GENERAL CONDITIONS

⚬ A commission is only considered accepted when the artist confirms it. Sending payment before approval does not guarantee acceptance. If the artist decides not to proceed, the payment will be fully refunded.⚬ The artist reserves the right to decline any commission request.⚬ The artist will clearly communicate whether she can accept the project, depending on her comfort level and capability with the proposal.⚬ The prices listed on the website are estimated base prices. Final costs may increase depending on additional details or complexity, but rarely decrease.⚬ All illustrations will be created in the artist’s own style. Requests for other styles will not be accepted.⚬ If a detailed background is desired, the client must inform the artist beforehand. This will result in an additional charge, which varies according to the complexity.⚬ The artist retains full rights to the artwork. She may share the commissioned piece on her social media or portfolio. However, the client can request that the artwork remain private or not be posted until a specific date.

COMMISSIONS DETAILS

⚬ Once the artist contacts the client by email, she will request additional information about the commission before accepting it. The initial description can be as detailed as the client wishes, but in general, the less detail provided, the more creative freedom the artist has, which may result in an outcome that is less precise to the client’s vision.The basic information includes:
• Description of the idea;
• Description of the characters;
• References (photos, moodboards, inspirational images);Additional information that can be helpful:
• Detailed descriptions of physical features, outfits, etc.;
• Personalities and backgrounds of the characters, as well as their relationships if more than one character is involved;
• Mood / atmosphere of the piece;
• Canvas size, if applicable;

PROCESS AND CHANGES

⚬ The client will receive progress images, which may vary depending on the type of commission.⚬ The most common stages are: sketch, lineart, base colors, and final illustration.⚬ The artist may choose to increase or reduce the number of progress steps shown.⚬ Significant changes can only be made during the sketch stage.⚬ Requests for changes that should have been addressed in earlier stages may increase the price by 20€ to 150€, depending on the complexity of the adjustment.

FINAL PRODUCT

⚬ The final file will be delivered in high resolution (300 DPI), A5 format, and in PNG and PDF unless the client specifies otherwise.⚬ The commission price does not include native files, such as .psd or similar editable formats.⚬ If the client wishes to receive the illustration in any format other than those listed above, this must be communicated before the commission process begins.⚬ The final product will include a watermark or signature.*It is the buyer’s responsibility to save and store the delivered files. File loss is not the artist’s responsibility.
**The artist does not provide physical copies of the digital artwork, nor will she be responsible for producing one even if the client offers additional payment.

DEADLINES

⚬ The time to complete the work ranges from 4 weeks to 6 weeks normally, depending on the complexity of the commission and the availability of the artist. If more time is needed, the commissioner will be notified in advance.⚬ The artist may not be able to start the commission immediately. The client will be informed when it will be possible to start.⚬ Urgent commissions have an additional charge, since the artist has to adapt her work schedule to complete it on time.

PRICE AND PAYMENT

The prices are specified in EUROS (€). If you'd like to pay in USD, be aware that the price depends on the conversion rates that Paypal indicates. This currency rate includes approximately a 3,5% to 4,5% fee that Paypal charges for conversions.⚬ Payment will be done through Paypal or bank transfer (with IBAN). The money must be sent to the Paypal’s address provided, with the “I trust this person” option.⚬ Two alternatives for the payment are allowed:
• Full payment in advance (before the sketch);
• 50% up-front in the moment of accepting the commission (before the sketch) and the other 50% after the sketch approval;

ARTIST COPYRIGHT, CREDIT, AND REPRODUCTION

⚬ The client is paying for the artist work and the finished product, so the artist keeps all the rights to the artwork (distribution, reproduction, social media uses...).⚬ It is forbidden to remove or cover the artist’s signature.⚬ The commercial use of a private art is forbidden.⚬ The client must credit the artist properly:
• Social media: @brunagarretart;
• Books or websites: Bruna Garret (@brunagarretart);• Commercial Use: The minimum price difference with respect to those for personal use will be 50% to 150%.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

⚬ Refunds aren’t accepted except for the following case:
> The finished product hasn’t been provided in three months.
> Client canceled their request before the artist began working on the commission.
> If the artist does not believe being able to deliver what was desired by the customer after accepting the commission.⚬ Steps of the progress are provided during the commission process, which means disliking the final result or changing of mind will be never considered a refund.⚬ In the event that the client ceases communication during the project for more than two (2) weeks, the artist will consider the project canceled and there will be no refund of what has already been paid.
